The magic number!

Not so much a 'sewing' post today, but just a little happy post from me!

When I first started this blog I didn't think anyone would read it.  I thought it would have 2 readers - me and my other half.  This blog was originally just an online place to store my thoughts, progress and to bookmark some other blogs and projects that I like that are out there in cyberspace.  Today, only a couple of MONTHS after starting this blog, I have hit the magic number of 1000 page views!  I am so surprised (and pleased) that people - YOU, are coming and reading my blog.  I have (very) excitedly watched this number rise by the day.

However, you are a quiet bunch.  I don't reallly know who you are....there aren't many of you in my list of 'followers', so I can't click on your links to find out who you are, where you are, what you do etc.  So go on...leave me a comment, don't be shy, say hello,  let me know if you have your own blog so I can come and visit!

I haven't taken any sewing pictures today - although I am very pleased to say that ALL 30 of my blocks for my Topsy Turvy Quilt have been sewn!  I have ironed my seams and cut half of them to 12.5" squares.  I'll cut the other half tomorrow and then begin sewing the rows together once I've decided how to lay them out (that could take a while!).

I'll leave you with some photos of the past few days - LOTS of walks in the park, lots of fun.  We've had about 4 days of solid sunshine!  (Yes, we do get sun in Scotland!)

  1. Ahhh, bless him! I can't wait for that giddy feeling of excitement. Enjoy your walks in the park!
Unfortunately March in Canada is all about frozen snow/mud/slush and windy rain/sleet. You know it is bad when the weather guy starts keeping a running count of how much daylight (not sunshine) we've had. We're up to 10 hours!!!!

I love to hear feedback from readers of my blog - please let me know what you think!
