Pay it forward goodies

A very long time ago, so long in fact that I didn't even remember doing it, I left a comment on Nikki's blog on her 'pay it forward' post.  The week I left my job, I found out from Nikki that I would be one of the lucky ones to whom she would 'pay it forward'!  It was great news to hear (in what was a strange week!).

Now, if you haven't heard of pay it forward, this is how it works -
  1. I will make a little something for the first 3 people who comment on this post. It will be a surprise and it will arrive when you least expect it.
  2. I will have 365 days to do it in. What's the catch? To get a handmade present from me, you have to play too! This means YOU pledge to send a little handmade something to 3 readers of your blog. It doesn't have to be quilty - just handmade.
  3. You must have a blog.
  4. Once you receive your "little something", you must post about your Pay it Forward on your blog to keep the fun going - be sure to use the Pay It Forward badge.
Ok, so do you wanna see what lovely package I recieved this week??

I felt so lucky!  It wasn't even my birthday!

Inside were such lovely goodies, I really did feel so spoiled.

There was the most AMAZING lined, zippy purse, Nikki has been busy with the stamps and Versacraft ink (and such pretty patchwork!) -

I love this one!

And the reverse -

I was actually squeeling with complete delight when I was opening this lovely gift, it really is so pretty!  And it's full of lovely polka dots and gingham - my 2 favourite fabric designs.

There was also matching pin cushion (with a lovely giant wooden button!) and some love heart pins -

And more fab stamping -

And the cutest little stamped label on the edge -

There was also a piece of yumy tablet to satisfy my sweet tooth!

To say I was over the moon with this package is a complete understatement, I don't know if it was a happy coincidence or if Nikki had been really keeping an eye on my blog and my comments on her blog to get my tastes just right but she got it SPOT ON!

I'm really pleased to have such a gorgeous zippy purse as I've been meaning to make one for myself for so long as I'm always looking for somewhere safe to store little projects in (especially taking things away for the weekend to work on etc) so now I have something extra special.

It never amazes me the generosity of this online community that I've become part of over the past year.  I also love the fact that Nikki is someone I've talked to quite a lot over that year too, 2 people who've never met and she's been so kind as to send me a gift!  For no reason :)

So...now it's my turn....ready, set, go....leave me a comment!
