Something vintage, something new

Over recent years I have, like many of you, discovered a love for scouring the charity (thrift) stores for hidden pieces of pretty fabrics - often in the form of vintage bed linens.

I've had these enormous pieces of fabric (double duvet covers!) in my stash for a while now so I decided to give them a new lease of life by cutting into them to make something new.

I've been making a LOT of crochet hook rolls recently so I decided it was time I tried out some vintage ones.

All rolled up
I used a pretty pink and white lined fabric for the inside -

All finished off with one of my handmade labels -

Now all that's left to do is pop them into my Folksy shop :)

  1. Such pretty colours, great to give fabric a second chance in life.

  2. They look really good in the vintage fabric!

  3. Lovely, Im another who sources fabric from my local charity shops, lots of fabric for very little pennies - cant beat it. :O)

  4. These are very pretty and very useful too. Even better as they are recycled :)

I love to hear feedback from readers of my blog - please let me know what you think!
