I've had a very hectic few months lately, mainly because I was designing a new product, launching it on Instagram, and making a LOT of them!
I am constantly asked for a bag with handles, specifically for transporting crafts - on holiday, to work, or just to keep them tidy around the house etc. I already make a variety of bags, large and small but they don't have handles, they just keep closed with a button and loop closure. I knew I wasn't a 'bag designer' so was reluctant to even attempt one, but since I had been thinking about it in the back of my mind for so long and was being asked more and more frequently, I thought I'd come up with something very simple yet very useful.
Say hello to my new bag with HANDLES!
It's nothing fancy, there are no bells and whistles, it's just practical and extremely spacious. In fact I think it's deceptively spacious, it really can hold lots! The bottom section, minus the handles is approx 9" high, 10" wide and 7" deep. The pics above show how easily one of my small craft bags, crochet rolls and some balls of wool fit inside it with plenty of room to spare for your project as well. (PS. Since taking the pictures of this first bag I have since added a ribbon closure to all bags, just to stop them flapping open when being carried - you can see this a bit better in subsequent photos down the page.)
It doesn't have to be just for crafters either, look how good it doubles up as a lunch bag -
I've been having fun making these in lots of different colourways, I've been using home decor weight canvas so the bags are extra sturdy. Here are just some I've made lately -
The bicycles and beach huts are definitely the most popular so far!
Bags are £14 each plus £1.50 P&P (UK). For overseas posting please let me know and I'll find out the cost. If you're interested in placing a order simply drop me an email email@example.com or click on the 'contact me' button on the top right of the page. Remember, if you're on Instagram, come and say hello, I'm @sewrayme on there (and on Twitter).
Ahh, enjoying the latest batch of bags in some sunshine on Friday afternoon, this made me smile :)
